University of Tartu Natural History Museum is conducting a survey addressing the application of citizen science in biological research, defining citizen science as involvement of volunteers in research (data collecting, crowdsourcing, data management, digitization, fieldwork etc). Survey results will be used for exploring citizen science based approaches for mobilizing and generating biodiversity data.

The survey is conducted for the project EU BON - Building the European Biodiversity Observation Network, which is funded under the European Union's Seventh Framework Programme (FP7/2007-2013) under grant agreement № 308454.
